Trade for prosperity

50% of adults like a flutter, but if you're worried about your betting here's some advice on how to play well.

Enjoy it

Unpredictability is part of what makes betting and gaming fun. If things change, walk away. Always remember why you wanted to play in the first place.

Landed a win? Great. Withdraw your cash and enjoy!

Know your odds

Gambling is a game of chance. Check your odds and make sure you understand how likely you are to win and lose. Bet on the things you know and like.

When trying something new, look for explainer videos and free versions first.

Set limits

Decide how much you want to spend, set a limit, and stick to it. Limits are for everyone, they’re known as Deposit Limits and all good bookies have them.

Just because you set a limit, it doesn’t mean you need to reach it every time.

Take a break

Nothing in life should take up more of your time than you feel comfortable with. Most operators have a tool that reminds you to take a break after a time period set by you.

Set a reminder when you begin playing, so you know when you’re due a break.

Beware of fakes

All main bookies are regulated by the Gambling Commission and offer a range of support to help you manage your play. Check before you bet and avoid unlicensed operators.

Check your bookmaker is on the Gambling Commission’s public register at

www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk

Support is just a click away

If you’re worried about your play, you can speak to your bookie, contact the national gambling helpline GamCare, or use GAMSTOP, a free service that helps you stop your gambling.
