Trade for prosperity

That’s why more people buy a Pure Cremation funeral plan than any other. You may know someone who’s got a plan with us or know someone who had a pure cremation. Our customers recommend us to their friends and family all the time – and we’ve more 5-star customer reviews on Trustpilot and Reviews.io than anyone else.

Pure Cremation was set up by a family with over 30 years’ combined experience in funerals. They could see the strain that the cost of a traditional funeral was having on families

By cutting out the funeral director fees and removing the need for a hearse or a crematorium ceremony, they could offer a respectful, professional funeral at a much more affordable price.

Today, a Pure Cremation funeral plan saves you over £2,000 compared to a traditional funeral. Yet it still guarantees you a very professional service. The people who work at Pure are a close-knit team who treat those in their care as if they were their own family and everyone in our care gets a unique ceramic disc that stays in their coffin throughout the cremation, guaranteeing the identity of their ashes.

Here are three of the questions people sometimes ask:

Q1: What’s the difference between a pure cremation and a traditional funeral?

A traditional funeral means a funeral director collects the deceased, prepares the body and transports them in a hearse to another company’s crematorium for the cremation. There is usually a crematorium ceremony of around 45 minutes.

With a pure cremation, someone stays in our care the whole time. We collect the deceased, perform a dignified cremation at our own state-of-the-art crematorium in 10 acres of parkland, and return the ashes to family ourselves.

Because there’s no ceremony at the crematorium, family can have whatever ceremony or service they wish, whenever and wherever they want.

Q2: Why get a funeral plan? Can’t we just pay for the funeral at the time?

You can just pay for a funeral at the time it’s needed. However, funeral costs in Britain are at a record high, and are likely to keep going up, so a funeral is likely to cost more in the future. When you buy a funeral plan, you’re buying at today’s prices and you are protected from any future rise in prices.

Q3: Is my funeral plan money safe?

When you buy a funeral plan, the money to pay for your funeral is put in an independent Trust. What’s more, our Trust is reinsured with the world’s largest reinsurer, which makes it incredibly safe – we don’t know of any other funeral plan provider who does this.

Funeral plan providers are also authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, so funeral plans are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
